Is Dublin Ranch Dental accepting new patients?
Yes. Dublin Ranch Dental is currently accepting new patients of all ages. New patients are typically scheduled within one to two weeks. Same-day emergency appointments are available during business hours by calling (925) 999-9088.
Where is Dublin Ranch Dental located?
Dublin Ranch Dental is located at 3704 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568. We serve Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, Castro Valley, and Danville.
What are your office hours?
Monday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm; Tuesday 9:30 am – 6:30 pm; Wednesday 9:30 am – 6:30 pm; Thursday 9:30 am – 6:30 pm; Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Closed Sunday.
Should I come in if nothing hurts?
Yes, and ideally before anything does. The most cost-effective dentistry is dentistry caught early. A 30-minute preventive exam can identify a hairline fracture, a worn cusp, or an early cavity long before it becomes a root canal or a crown. Most adults benefit from check-ups twice a year, with X-rays every 12-24 months.
How does the practice approach pricing?
Every treatment plan is personalized. Because every mouth is different, Dublin Ranch Dental does not publish set fees on a webpage; instead, every case is planned and priced individually with a written, itemized treatment plan during your visit. The practice is genuinely flexible about pacing and financing, and the team welcomes open conversations about what makes sense for your situation.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept and bill most major PPO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Delta Dental PPO, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, BlueCross/BlueShield, and Anthem. We are not a DHMO or Medi-Cal provider. Our front office will pre-verify your specific benefits before your first visit.
Are you in-network or out-of-network?
We are in-network with several major PPO plans and out-of-network with others. When we are out-of-network we file your claim for you and help you receive any reimbursement your plan offers.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We partner with CareCredit and Sunbit for monthly payment options, and we also offer in-house financing for larger cases. HSA and FSA accounts are welcome. We are genuinely flexible about pacing treatment to fit your finances.
Do you accept HSA or FSA?
Yes, both HSA and FSA accounts are accepted for any qualifying dental treatment.
What does a cosmetic case cost at Dublin Ranch Dental?
Every cosmetic case is different, and we plan and price each one individually. Rather than publishing a number on a webpage, we prefer to have a real conversation with you during a complimentary consultation, where we walk you through a written, itemized plan and discuss financing options. Many patients are surprised by how manageable the right plan turns out to be once it is broken down.
What does a restorative case cost at Dublin Ranch Dental?
Every restorative case is planned and priced individually based on what your teeth actually need. The practice provides a written, itemized treatment plan before any work begins, with options at conservative, ideal, and phased levels. CareCredit, Sunbit, in-house monthly arrangements, and HSA/FSA are all available.
Do you place dental implants?
Dublin Ranch Dental does not perform dental implant surgery in-office. For patients who need implants we coordinate with trusted local oral surgeons or periodontists and handle the restorative phase (the crown on top) in our chair. For most cases of missing teeth we encourage a conversation about all options, including fixed bridges, which we do perform in-house.
What restorative work do you offer?
We offer the full range of restorative dentistry: root canal therapy, ceramic crowns and bridges (often CEREC same-day), tooth-colored composite fillings, ceramic inlays and onlays, and comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation planned with neuromuscular bite analysis.
Do you offer same-day crowns?
Yes. For most crown cases, we design and place the final ceramic crown in a single visit using our in-office CEREC system. For the highest-aesthetic front-tooth cases, we still send work to a master ceramist lab.
Do you perform root canals in-house?
Yes. Most root canals are completed in-house, often under our surgical microscope for precision. Highly complex cases may occasionally be referred to a trusted endodontist colleague.
Do you offer sedation dentistry?
Yes. We offer nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation, depending on the procedure and patient preference. Anxious patients and longer restorative cases benefit most.
Do you treat children?
Yes. We see children, adolescents, and adults. For very young children we sometimes refer to a board-certified pediatric specialist.
Do you offer same-day emergency appointments?
Yes. If you are in pain, have broken a tooth, or have a dental emergency during business hours, call (925) 999-9088 and we will work you in the same day whenever possible.
What is LVI training?
The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) is a post-graduate institution focused on cosmetic, neuromuscular, and full-mouth reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Desai completed LVI fellowship training and integrates smile design and bite engineering on every case.
Is Dr. Desai an ADA member?
Yes. Dr. Prajesh Desai is an active member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
How long has Dr. Desai practiced in Dublin?
Dr. Desai has practiced in Dublin for nearly twenty years and has been a dentist for more than twenty-eight years overall.
Will veneers look fake?
Done well, no. Material choice, preparation design, bite engineering, and the lab partnership determine whether a veneer looks natural. We use a master ceramist lab partner.
How long do veneers last?
Well-made porcelain veneers placed with proper bite engineering typically last 15 to 20 years or longer.
How long does Invisalign take?
Most adult Invisalign cases at Dublin Ranch Dental run 6 to 18 months. Simpler cases can finish in 3 to 4 months.
Is mail-order Invisalign as good as dentist-supervised Invisalign?
No. Dentist-led Invisalign includes a clinical examination, bite engineering, and supervision throughout treatment. Mail-order aligners move teeth without these clinical safeguards and offer no recourse if treatment goes wrong. Dr. Desai supervises every Invisalign case personally.
What is the difference between veneers and Lumineers?
Lumineers are a brand of ultra-thin veneers that often require less or no tooth preparation but are best suited to smaller corrections on intact teeth. Traditional porcelain veneers allow more dramatic changes.
What languages do you speak?
Our team speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Free patient parking is available directly outside the office at 3704 Dublin Blvd. Accessible parking and step-free entry are available.
Is the office wheelchair accessible?

Can I switch to Dublin Ranch Dental mid-treatment?
